"The island's convoluted and unusual past means that many will find themselves visually disoriented when arriving in Malta, perhaphs expecting a slightly altered version of Southern Italy ... instead one finds fortified cities of honey coloured stone, furnished with palaces of the highest, almost blasphemous, baroque, and an impenetrable language that resembles Arabic" writes designer Suzanne Sharp of her native Malta. Discover more of the eccentric island's extraordinary history in the new issue 20 of Cabana, and read 'A Weekend in Malta' online via the link in bio. #CabanaN20
