How to become an elite level golfer ⬇️
Over the past decade, my journey in professional golf has been marked by both highs and lows. The highs have been awesome, while the lows have presented a series of challenges. Despite moments of wishing for different outcomes, I’ve come to appreciate that every experience has its purpose. I firmly believe in the notion that everything happens for a reason. This realization has heightened my awareness of how to elevate my golf game to the next level. Through my experiences and what I have learned, I hope what I share can help you become the best golfer you can possibly be.
Here are three tips to help you become an elite level golfer:
Tip 1: Determination: Determination is a universal trait essential for achieving greatness in anything. Believing in yourself and envisioning success are paramount, even before reaching the level you desire to be at one day. You have to be willing to make sacrifice now so that you can achieve the goals you have set out to conquer. Also, learn to enjoy the journey even more than the results.
Tip 2: Contact: Consistent contact with the golf ball is fundamental for producing consistent shots. Ensuring that the club face is square at impact and the ball is striking the center of the face is crucial. This may require refining the mechanics of your swing, possibly through professional lessons. But overall, you should be able to reflect on past instances of solid contact to identify what contributed to those clean strikes and learn to replicate that sensation.
Tip 3: Swing Your Swing: Arnold Palmer’s advice to “swing your swing” is profound in its simplicity. For someone that has over complicated the game, A LOT at times, I find that when I play my best, I have maybe one swing thought and just “swing my swing”.
