Salam Jumaat❤️
Hi everyone, I'm Dewa. A 4 months & a half old special needs kitten. I was rescued by Mommy
@linda.and.the.strays when I was 1 month & a half.
Here's my story😁
I was rescued by Mommy near the bushes at the office. Brought to the vet that instant. I was underweight & my body full of fleas. I was warded, deflead, dewormed & being monitored.
Alhamdulillah, all went well. I was discharged & being brought home & fostered at mommy's house with k.ninie.
While waiting to be fit for my 1st vaccine, I've encountered several sicknesses; diarrhoea, constipation & limping. Being in & out of the vet 3x. I was alright at first, but I fell sick again. Until one day at 2am in the morning, I was rushed to Vet hospital in PJ. for x-ray. Bcs the night before, I've been crying all night. Every movement seems hurt .X-rayed, nothing was found. Doc suspected it might have something to do with the nerves.
We went home next morning. The hurt didn't subside. I started and can't use my hind legs & crying non-stop. Then, I was rushed to KD Vet Centre in Kota Damamsara. Finally, the doc found I had an absence lanced on my left leg. A big lump that caused a severe infection until it attacked my lower body nerves system.
The root cause of the lump might be due to the wound that only healed on the surface, but the bacteria already gone deeper. For the 4th time, I've been warded for 3 days. Being monitored & prescribed with necessary medication. Within 3 days, I've shown positive progress.
But why I still can't walk? We discovered it quite late. It already attacked the nerves deeper. Doc suspected it attacked the core nerves.
Not just I can't use the hind legs. I also can't feel pain. There will be involuntarily poo & pee. That answered why I need to wear pampers🤪
Can I walk again? I would say 50-50, but I've shown positive progress. I can kick & sometimes I can use the hind legs in a short time. But what I know for sure I will never give up (this is from Mommy & k.ninie)
For the visual how it happened later, k.ninie will share in the story. Have a blessed Friday, everyone!
