I got to be volleyball mom last weekend and spend some extra one-on-one time with E. I pushed her outside of her social comfort zone, and it really paid off to help bridge friendships with the girls on her team. The relationships we make through this sport will never be forgotten, and with those friendships, the sport just becomes that much more fun. *fun fact- most of Erika's games were officiated by my good friend, Tim Joly, who used to ref me when I was in high school. I'm so bummed I didn't get a picture of them. Next time!

Sorry, not sorry that this will take a few posts. E and I checked out Mall of America a couple weeks ago and had some good girl time together before the chaos of Club season ramps up. Highly recommend Sea Life Aquarium.

How sad it is when an after-school conversation with your child goes something like this... "How was your day?" "Great! Even though it's kind of sad..." "What was sad?" "Well, when I realized that my existence doesn't really matter to my classmates. They simply don't care if I'm there or how i feel. So I just pretend to be happy because otherwise, that would cause a scene." 🥺 I'm glad we will be with family tonight and then a girl's weekend, just the 2 of us, while I take her to work with me

I've got this buddy, and his name is Bruiser. He just deflated his favorite basketball 🏀 tonight, and he was quite sad. You see, some dogs love tennis balls but Bruiser.... he's all about basketballs. If anyone has any old basketballs they are looking to get rid of, let me know, and I will get them to Bruiser at the Humane Society. Hopefully they will help him pass the time as he waits to be adopted. Yes, this hunk is adaoptable. 😉 *please nothing that is falling apart as I don't want him choking on anything. **This does not represent the views of HSMC. With the conclusion of the high school season, it's still hard to believe it's been 20 years since our trip to the Resch. That must mean I'm getting old. It was a dream, and I wish everyone could have the experience, but it certainly was a privilege to play on that stage and represent our hometown. ❤️

Today's playoff flashback is a tribute to the woman who started it all. Edgar High School's Queen of the Court (and field... and track).
