@thewinetastingshop is a thriving bar, bottle shop and tasting room that has become a neighbourhood hangout for wine lovers across South London. Now, with the launch of a new online wine store, owners Rex and Cat Rosales are able to share their enthusiasm and diverse range of wines beyond the confines of SW12.
Their dream was to create a welcoming venue where customers can ask any questions they wish about wines and pairings with foods.Under 35s were a big part of their plan, and Rex really enjoys opening up the world of wine to younger drinkers who are keen to explore new varieties and styles.
Cristi Datcu is head buyer at the shop and enjoys the opportunity to ease customers out of their comfort zone. The wines change regularly, and feature beautiful old and new world wines, as well as reflecting the interest in new countries and regions, Moldova, Georgia, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Canada and Greece. Perfect for wine aficionados and those not so sure about what wine they want to buy, the online shop gives customers an easy site with personal recommendations and encourages shoppers to get in touch directly with Rex and Cris if they need help deciding or have a particular occasion in mind.

If you’ve not been to @fattpundit , you must. If you’ve been before, you know to go again! Originating from Kolkata, this unique cuisine was invented when the Hakka people migrated to India from the Chinese province of Canton, bringing with them their culinary treasures. Incorporating traditional Chinese cooking techniques with the spices of India to create something both new yet familiar, Indo Chinese is now an integral part of Indian cuisine.
Playfully named Fatt Pundit it’s a combination of the common Chinese surname ‘Fatt’ with the Indian word ‘Pundit’ (a scholar).
Sunday Roasts doesn’t get much more sexual than @paulainsw6rth roast at @marinersinrock . Roast Cornish Dexter sirloin of beef, braised short rib, beef dripping roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding filled with beef trivet onions, Cornish vintage cheddar cauliflower cheese,Tenderstem broccoli, Cornish sea salt, olive oil,
carrot, swede and nutmeg mash & red wine gravy.
Followed by a delish spotted dick, salted caramel, with vanilla custard. £36 for this quality is unbelievable 👌
