🚨Bald Man Take: Munster and Smith Celebration Scandal 🚨 If you like this post, give me a follow to see more! It would mean a lot 🤘🔥 If you had asked me a few days ago which club I would have picked to be embroiled in an offseason scandal, the Melbourne Storm would have been the last team on my list. However, that is exactly what has happened with Brandon Smith and Cameron Munster being caught on camera near a white substance during their post-season celebration. It’s very disappointing to be talking about this during an exciting Grand Final week but I thought I would make a quick comment. This is a terrible look for the Storm just days after their most disappointing performance of the season. If there is one thing I would never do, it is question the Storm culture, as they have been the gold standard of excellence for more than a decade now. However, it should be noted that the great players who are responsible for building this culture, Cameron Smith, Billy Slater, and Cooper Cronk, never found themselves in a position of this nature. Munster and Smith need to accept responsibility quickly. Like it or not, they are two of the Storm’s best and most well-known players and with the departures of senior team members Dale Finucane and Josh Addo Carr, the club needs them to step up as leaders now more than ever. Among the rugby league community, Smith and Munster have become icons as classic Aussie larrikins. A viral photo of "Hungover Munster" in the QLD 2020 team photo epitomized this after he reportedly went straight to Origin camp from the Storm's Grand Final celebrations. However, they need to be careful now as that reputation can change to villain very quickly in the court of public opinion. They simply cannot escape their responsibility as role models, and for as long as they are in this League they will be held to a higher standard than many other professions. With all that said, I am backing the Melbourne Storm to handle this with professionalism (as they always do), and for these two guys to learn from this and repay the club in a big way.
The problem is not restricted to one club how many teams have to be court out before the code admits by they have a problem. When they let past players like Andrew Jones become an immortal of the game after admitting he took drugs while playing. What sort of message does that send to today’s players?

Im far from a storm fan but fans and the nrl are kidding themselves if they think this doesn't go on behind closed doors with all teams! Drugs are more common then alcohol at parties and clubs now
