"As a traveler and martial artist, my practice has become a sustainable dedication. Whether it’s along the hiking trail, waiting to pick up the order for work, or just in my home; in tight pants or pajamas alike, all times are suitable for practice. Although Kung Fu and the other martial practices that I’ve become involved with have played crucial roles in my personal development, I’d like to talk about a slightly different function, instead. To me, martial arts has become a way to connect to people. I began studying Kung Fu at age eleven, with my dad and sister. It was a way for us to spend time together and connect to our Chinese heritage. Now, 17 years later, I have connected to people all over the world through this shared dedication to bettering oneself and the beauty of the arts. Some of the most wholesome people, with hearts of gold, that i’ve met, I’ve gotten to know by trying to land a strike on their smiling face, or pushing and pulling each other in flexibility exercises. I feel like I can know someone better through a 30min pad holding drill than through any chatting or casual talk. My Kung Fu training brothers and sisters are still family. My martial arts club at college helped me push through hard times during my studies. And even now, my fight team and my gym are like my home." @taipeikid - USA @ntusanda @carlislekungfu @noosathaiboxing Hey, if you can relate to thoughts above, please help us grow this page by sharing, commenting, liking, and telling your people.
