💫 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍 💫 8.01 mi/1:16:44/9:35 pace 82F/52% humidity 10.17 mi this morning + 8 mi this afternoon = 18 miles The 8 miles was MUCH easier and more fun than the 10 miles this morning. What a difference 52% humidity makes in comparison with 90% humidity. OK so I didn’t run these 18 miles continuously. I’m still counting them as a complete training run. My legs are trashed, for one. So it was into an ice bath for me when I returned this afternoon. As far as lessons learned from today’s runs: Humidity is hard on your body. I should’ve set the target MP of this morning’s long run to a slightly slower pace based on the humidity. I am certain the extreme nausea I felt was simply because I hit the wall and my body didn’t have anything left. After refueling and rehydrating, my run this afternoon was hot but quite delightful. Gluten free pizza in for the win! Happy Sunday, #fitfam ! For years I ran 6 miles in the mornings and 4 miles in the afternoon. That's 10 miles in a day. Elite runners do splits everyday.
