What’s the longest you’ve had a game without playing it & why the delay? 🤔 I bought Sleeping Queens in March of last year for a challenge I was doing featuring women who designed board games. I knew the game skewed young, but I got it for less than $10, so I didn’t mind spending the money. Fast forward to yesterday… ▫️▫️▫️ Hubby’s parents & Niece N- are here for a brief visit before dropping her off at a summer camp not far from us. We had a little time before she went to bed last night, so I suggested a game & pulled out Sleeping Queens. I hadn’t read the rules since I 1st got it, so I started reading them out loud, which was a bit overwhelming to N- & my mother-in-law (who isn’t a gamer at all). I had forgotten there is an element of math in the game, & I discovered that 10-yr.-old N- apparently doesn’t yet believe there any practical uses for math in her life. 🧮😆 ▫️▫️▫️ Playing was a little slow-going at 1st as I had to prompt N- & my MIL on what cards they might want to play. Later, we enlisted help from my FIL to help N- figure out if she had any cards that could make an equation. In the end, hubby won, as he usually does in most games. I’d love to give it another go today, but we have other plans — Top Golf & a movie — so this may be the only play this gets until we have another kid visiting. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ▫️▫️▫️ #SleepingQueens #SleepingQueensGame #BoardGames #Gaming #PlayMoreGames #EuroGames #BoardGameAddict #BoardGameGeek #BoardGameNight #BoardGamesOfInstagram #BoardGamer #TableTopGames #BoardGameCommunity #BoardGamePhotos

My 7 year old really loves this game. It would likely go better if you do get another chance at it.
