I visited a super fabulous open garden a few weeks ago, and finally got pics up on the blog today. Here’s just a sampling starting with a planting of Agave americana x protoamericana in the front garden corner. Swipe for more photos of the house (“the Eybrow House”) and garden. Speaking of—it takes a pretty strong garden to stand up to a house like that, @neojurassicpdx you’ve done a smashing job, thanks for opening your garden! #eyebrowhousepdx #agaveamericana #agaveprotoamericana #trachcarpus #palms #podophyllumspottydotty #dasylirionwheeleri #yuccalinearifolia #aspidistraelatior #shadegarden #gardeninginthepnw #portlandgardens #hpsoopengardens #michaelschultzlandscapedesign #agavesaremyfavorite
I really like the juxtaposition of the round flat rock with the agaves, with nicely filled in Leptinella. That last photo is so beautiful.

Wow! A decade ago, I was introduced to the couple who used to live there (husband is the architect.) But I don’t recall the yard looking like this. It is spectacular! 🤩
