Happy Thanksgiving! #DidYouKnow although turkeys were indigenous, there is no record of a big, roasted bird at the feast.
What you mean to say is that is not a record that you know about. Early Americans roasted fish and other animals, why wouldn’t they roast a turkey? True, their metallurgy was too crude to allow for a large fire proof vessel, but don’t sell them short!
