One of the best training tips I could ever give: respect the weight. This means whether it’s a one rep max attempt or your first warm up set, approaching the bar with clear intention on how to execute the movement is so important. It’s the same thing as if you are trying to train a dragon #iykyk … you need to be patient and respectful. When you respect the dragon/weight it will provide you respect back. Because that weight is the tool that’s giving you the change you want. That’s why you’re in the gym. This includes: not being an a-hole or training with your ego, warming up with intention, not throwing or dropping the weights. Otherwise, you either stay the same, or risk injury. Respect the weight that you use. Earn the right to add weight to the bar. And only then will you get stronger, become better, and level the fck up. ✌🏼 #ironrepublicnavidad
