Continuing Negroni week, so much fun seeing all the great riffs people are putting out… question, how many is too many recipes to save and try??? This is a little riff inspired by our trip to Morocco and France… in 2019 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️. I’m calling it a Medjool Negroni, combining two of my favorite things, Cognac and dates! I absolutely love the deep flavors, dried fruits and depth Cognac has to offer and I’m not sure there’s anything better than snacking on dates… with cheese and charcuterie, the ultimate luxury! So, combining those two things I needed to balance up the bitter just a touch so I subbed in Punt e Mes to keep it bittersweet! Oh, beautiful layers of deep flavor with that delightful bitter finish, I might have to keep this one around past this week! Cheers all, what are your favorite riffs you’re seeing so far? . Medjool Negroni . 1 oz Cognac (@parkcognac Borderies) 1 oz Aperitivo (@leopoldbros ) 1 oz Punt e Mes (@puntemes_it ) 1 barspoon date syrup (@jooliesdates ) . Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled and lightly diluted. Strain into a rocks glass with a large cube. Garnish with a delicious Medjool date!
