I've been using this machine for almost a decade; all the way back to the original version. To date I've mixed over 20 feature films, dozens of documentaries and countless corporate/digital shoots. I've used every modern mixer from the Sound Devices 7 series, 6 series, MixPre and some Zaxcom - this thing has been 'ol reliable but, as my buddy @mojofunkster says: I've proven my point that this machine can mix and record quality feature work. This setup has reached its maximum potential output and its time to upgrade.
Excited to start shopping the market for a new system to take me into the next phase of my career.

Congratulations to Theresa Ortega on her retirement after 36 years working for Lectrosonics! She wanted to retire on the same date she started (March 28, 1988) to make it an even 36 years. She applied for an ad we placed for a Seamstress and started by sewing all of our pouches and case covers. She sewed every one herself until our volume became too much for one person to do. For many years now, she’s also been our mail lady and bank runner. She is one of the few people still here who interviewed with former president John Arasim. #lectrosonics#madeinusa#soundisessential

Cutting an M2T chassis top in the Mazak laser. The upper and lower loading stages shuffle on a circular track. When the sheet loads into the laser area, the lower stage shifts up to accept another sheet.
